Ok I want to get to the electrical in my van this week but i can't think of a good place to mount the 2 fuse blocks i want to add to handle all my accessories (and future one as well) I intend to eventually move the battery to the rear of the vehicle and add a couple. The only place i can think out is right behind the drivers seat under the window but that makes for a long wiring run to anything mounted in the dash. Any comments would be appreciated i couldn't find a better spot under the dash and don't want to put it in the engine bay (already cramped enough in there)

Re: Extra Fuse block locations
Good thread! I need a spot under the hood for an extra fuse block, but it's pretty tight in there.

If you want to hang on until I get some angle iron stock-I am going to post how to fit two batteries side by side in the stock under the hood location.

Re: Extra Fuse block locations
Two batteries side by side? That would be amazing. I though about a way to stack them and finally mounted mine in the rear right quarter panel where the jack is stored. I am working out a modified cover and outside vent the battery. I would mount the second fuse block will go under the dash next to the existing fuse block. I think there are enough open bays on the OEM fuse block to add the accessories I need. Still working out the details.

Re: Extra Fuse block locations
I need a sealed block with common input rated to 40A. eBay seems like a good source.

Re: Extra Fuse block locations
It looks like you could mount it in a small pelican box, http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1015, and drill/seal a whole for the wires to pass through. Then you can mount it near the battery under the hood.
