power fuel pump
I have a 1999 safari I totaled, has new fuel pump and full tank of gas. hooked a line up to the filter to drain gas with pump but it only pumps gas for a second as it is not running. is there a way to power pump via a jumper at the relay of some other method or am I going to have to cut harness from...

Re: Radiator drain plug?
Thanks, did not have time to tear into it. Much more crowded up there than my RWD vans.I think coolant is leaking from the radiator on to the power steering cooler, it did not look or feel like fluid. Want to do belt, idler and belt tensioner so I will be removing shroud and get a better look. Funny...

Radiator drain plug?
Want to flush and replace coolant on my 99 safari awd and don't see a drain plug, the ones on my 2wd 96, and 02 astro I could easily access. If there is one it looks like shrouding needs to be removed but I really don,t see one from above.. Also there is some kind of cooler below the radiator shroud...

Re: AWD Safari wheel binding.
Thanks for the reply. I plan on going through everything, already did fuel pump, got synthetic oil, synthetic tranny fluid and filter, cap, rotor, plugs wires and want to do the transfer case as you suggested, and front and rear diffs. It is a 99 with 135,000. picked it up for $1800 and don't mind p...

AWD Safari wheel binding.
Just picked up my first AWD Safari and noticed when turning sharp at low speed the tires bind/scrub on the pavement like my Silvarado does in when left in 4WD on dry pavement. Is this normal for AWD or is it a indication that there are problems like cv joints or front diff.? Normal driving seems fin...

Re: New fuel punp, still low fuel pressure
Pulled every fuse to see if there was a bad one and low and behold it built pressure and started. There was no bad fuse.
Don't know if it was the resetting of the control module or a bad connection at fuse block. Don't care as as it keeps running.:-)

New fuel punp, still low fuel pressure
Just picked up 99 AWD Safari drove it for a day of so, filled tank (gas gauge did not right either) got about 100 yards from gas station and it died. Suspecting fuel pump (it did seem loud when it was running) I removed doghouse and depressed schrader valve on fuel line and fuel barely came out, not...

Removing door from salvage van.
I need to remove the passenger front door from a salvage van at the junk yard and was wondering what the best approach is as I know the spring is a concern.
I have a cordless sawzall.
I assume the pin is removed somehow?
Any insight would be appreciated.
TIA

Re: high speed relay went out
the high speed relay on the newer astro/safari's is a part of the blower resistor assy. not separate like they used to be.
