So, I'm painting a set of the stock wagon wheels red to mount on Grumpy. My plan is to use the stock center caps and chrome lug nuts. The problem is the stock lugs have a ridge that the center caps hold onto and I haven't seen aftermarket lugs do.

Any ideas?

So, what's the problem? Use the stock lug nuts. If they're ugly, paint em'.

Problem is, I don't have any of the stock ones for the wagon wheels.

I used the stock lug nuts on both aluminum and aftermarket steel wheels.

Your local salvage yard should have a bizzilion of them.
