I've been carrying the Rotopak 2 gallon gas can on my driver's side for 3 years now with no problems. I only use it when I go to Baja each winter and it has held up to the rough roads (and vibration) with no problems.

 Thanks for the advance info for modding my M11006 for trailering. I've laid contingency for an upgrade spare-tire winch to handle 40max# for reserve strength enough for a ø15"x7" ALCOA® rim and LT235/70R15 110Q all-terrain (immediate plans only involve a P215/75R15 100S full-service spare on a ø15"x6.5" stamped steel), and the left Dutch door is appropriate for a 19L-size Jerry-can rack. (I'd rather leave the right Dutch door's exterior alone due to the frenched registration plate and release handle.)
