new Astro camper conversion
new Astro camper conversion
I've been looking for a van to convert into camper/traveler and never really paid attention to these sleeper vehicles...I have become in love with them, I picked me up a super super clean seated and windowed 2000 Astro LS. With 123,000 miles on the clock, it was military owned who just happened to be German. Yes im stereotyping but this van doesn't have a thing wrong with it. At first I wanted something bigger but the gas saving part was what won me over... and the size is actually not that bad. Any ideas or recommendations before I start the build would be much appreciated! I hear these vans run forever, some claiming to go 300,000 mi +

Here's how I "camp" Florida style in my 2000 van:
Your definition of "camping" and mine might be a little different! lol
Here's how I camp (without air conditioner):
For me.. it's throw in a mattress and go... with motorcycle in tow. Your definition of "camping" and mine might be a little different! lol
