The Astro/Safari looks like just the thing for my little family. Checking out this site is helping that idea right along.
I've begun to focus on the 2002 and newer trucks, because the safety has supposedly improved. AWD, because I intend to cross the mountains at Christmas yearly, and travel off pavement as much as I can.
Might get around to lifting it 3"-4"
Any purchasing pointers will be greatly appreciated.
How much does this van resemble my '97 S10 as far as track and wheelbase, suspension, etc.?

Present rides '03 Jetta 1.8T wagen and '97 S10 4X4 4.3L (No kids' seats, or I'd use that.)
'90 Ranger 2.8 4X4 sold due to High K's and low power on hills.
