Driver Window

Post by CaptSquid »

With the advent of higher daylight temps (and the wonky ignition switch), the driver's window goes down nicely, but takes 10 - 15 minutes to shut. The Thermal Cutout keeps cutting out. HELP!

You can take it apart and bypass the thermal cutout(at your own risk), or replace it with a new unit.

I would pull the interior panel and see if the window has any points that can be lubed. Then, if you can, put an ammeter on the motor wires and see what kind of current the motor draws. If it isn't too much, replace the thermal cutout.
