XM radio mounting location

Post by JTalley »

I just got one of those satelite radios, and it's a blast. More radio stations than I could've ever dreamed of, and you don't lose them on long trips. Problem is, though, I can't keep it on the dash. I attached it to one of the little plates above my radio (where switches go, but mine doesn't have any). It worked for a while, but the plate kept falling out, even with a bit of hot glue holding it in place. Any advice for keeping that plate attached? I don't like having it fall down every time I hit a bump, and the hot glue gets soft in the sun and loses its stick.

I used a few dabs of RTV silicone on mine to keep the blank spaces in.

Sirius/XM Radio is pretty good.
I'm tempted to get it in the van, we have it at work, its awesome.
I like 'deep tracks' and 'Stevies underground garage'.
