anyone know where I can buy a hidden hitch for a roll pan?

Post by dj_joker_2002 »

I am looking for a hidden hitch that will be hidden behind my roll pan. Class 1 or 2. Anyone?

I would say check out your local welding/fab shop, I am sure he or she :D could modify one or just build you one for pretty cheap... to buy the steel to build a reciever only costs about $40 bucks... add his labour of $100 bucks and it really is not much more than buying a prefab reciever.

I actually have the stock hitch that was on the van when I bought it, It was bolted differently to my van then yours was and it has two bolt holes to bolt it to the bottom of the bumper. I thought about modifying it but I onlt have a 110 non gas migwelder.

You could mock it all up and tack it together and take it to a welder... could cost much more than $20 bucks to get a bead slapped around it

Can you add gas? I only have a 110V mig welder myself but with gas.

I was originally supposed to just tack weld it in place then bring it to a professionnal but I became very confident with my welds and the design and ended up doing it myself. That would be a good solution for you.

Ya my MIG is either or, just gotta reverse the electrodes or leads and then change the wire to swap between flux core and solid welding wires.

I just edited my signature so you can see the results. It's a fairly easy project. A great introduction to the wonderful world of "Fabricating". Just have fun!

If you need more info, just pm me because I'm not a regular anymore... 8-[

No this welder is cambell hausfeld and is flux core only. But I can get it the way I want it and have it welded locally.
