A/C Blower Switch issues 1996 - end of production
Early January 2022, the blower speed selector on my 1997 M11006 broke, leaving me the two slowest out of four speeds. How common is shaft breakage for 1996-2005? Short of replacement of the whole A/C control unit (which has a thermostatic switch and vacuum valves in addition to the switch described), how can I stabilize the speed selector?

Time to visit the junkyard.
But don't say you're looking for a "M11006" because nobody will know what you're talking about.
