With that 4" stroke crank you'd be nearing 300 inches out of a 4.3L V6 more if you had a 4.125 bore block which is plausible with a bowtie block. Almost assuredly Busch NASCAR leftovers, wonder if the splayed valve stuff is BBC style or full custom. The Busch series leftover are where a lot of the Buick guys get their off center V6 blocks from or at least used to. Some serious power right there even N/A.

I bought mine at the Indy drag racer's auction. It came from Richard Childress racing. It ran 10.50's in the Chevette and was like clock work as a 10.90 car.Seems I should have kept is now given the parts costs.Oh well. #-o

I know the link worked, I was asking why the links with no explanation in the thread as to who, what or why, When I see threads like that I think SPAM, but since it is coming from a members account I thought I would ask you about it.

LSx front cover dizzy conversion

Post by 1Gary »

For those of you that are Leary of a LSx swap because of the electronics here is apart of the answer. It is a front cover/distributor conversion to be run with a carb.Kind of a nice set up because the dizzy is up front which is convenient for a LSx swap in a van and you run the normal hot leads to it and a carb/fuel lines, fuel regulator and your good to go.It isn't cheap, but might be worth while.

That's cool. I remember a similar setup for the sbc. I don't know if they're still available. I've always thought the distributorless ign was the way to go. $675.00.... OUCH.

I think distributor-less is the way to go too Skip. But there are guys who shy away from the benefits of the LSx swap because they don't want to mess with the computer and here is a answer for that.Or guys that maybe haven't finished their swap because they are waiting for the funds to incorporate the LSx computer controls.
