factory chrome wheels modified to my liking

Post by markmitchinnh »

Last year I got 4 chrome rims from a newer Safari given to me and being old school I like chrome. But the center caps were cracked and plastic and had GMC on them so i tossed them. Recently I was cleaning out my shed and found these center caps I had on a past Astro with the old chevy truck rally wheels. I tried one on one of my wheels and was very happy to see that they fit. I will simply drill 3 holes into the center of the wheels and then weld a small nut onto it. take a look at my pics and let me know what you think.

Nice! I like them. I would have just drilled and tapped the holes but welding a nit works too.
