Post by dilly »

does anyone know of such a thing? i want to run some 215 85r16's but i think 16x7's will stick out farther than the sidewall (open to damage)

I like your idea. IF I ever get to build my dream van, it will roll on LT235/85R16 on 16x7 wheels.

I did buy a set of 16x7 with a 5x5.5" pattern once for a half ton Ford, and hope I can get them in 5x5". I thought Summit said they had all of the 5 lug patterns available in 16x7 white spoke wagon wheels and chrome spokes, but I never asked about a 16x6.

Good Luck.

from my searching i've found lots of 16x7s in 5on5 but no 16x6. according to astroturfs site 215 85r16 will fit upto 8" wide rims so maybe 16x7s would be fine.

What damage are you concerned with? Is it tire sidewall damage or wheel lip damage?
