Source for cheap 16" rims

Post by ihatemybike »

Seems that all the Jeeps around me are running 16" rims. This means I see lots of tires that aren't dead yet being removed and set aside as my Jeep buddies play with their tires.

I want to find some cheap 16" take offs that have the 5x5" bolt pattern. Anybody know of good donor vehicles?

This may be obvious, but check ebay and craigslist. Gonna be your best bet. With that said, if you look at aftermarket wheels on ebay and they have it listed, often times they have listed what other models it will fit. I found that my new blazer, S10 wheels fit (obviously), corvette wheels, and many more.

Not sure if this is correct since I don't know what year you have, as far as backspacing:
1972-1998 2WD CHEVY/GMC FULLSIZE TRUCK
1988-1999 2WD TAHOE, YUKON SUBURBAN(For 99 Models, please make sure you have 5 lugs)
1992-1996 CAPRICE/ IMPALA
2007-PRESENT JEEP WRANGLER JK
2007-PRESENT JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE
2007-PRESENT JEEP COMMANDER

Been hunting CL. Hoping to find some take offs that someone will let go uber cheap. IE Recently bought 5 wheels for Jeep/Ranger for $40.

I checked the list. It appears the GM trucks are 15", the GM cars are 15" or 17", and the Jeeps are 17".

Cheapest steel rims at http://www.SummitRacing.com are $40 each.
