Factory Radio removal

Post by afsigma21 »

Has anyone doe a write up or pictures of Factory Stereo removal.

I want to take mine out, but it is not real obvious where to start.

The factory radio has some lights out, so I can only see like 2 buttons when it is dark.

Another thing I hope to do this weekend!
What do you plan to put back in? Generally taking them out is a piece of cake. Then you need specific dash mount kits, possibly another wiring harness & antenna adapter also. Again, depending on what your replacing it with.On my '94&'95 thiers only 2 screws on the bottom to remove the trim around the stereo. But I'm almost positive your dash is different. I think they changed alot in '96? :-k

I am going to put something aftermarket in, probably a couple amps for speakers.
