Richmond Gear's Powertrax

Post by JHenry45 »

Has anyone on the board added the Richmond Gear Powertrax unit to their open differential?
How do you like it? How does it compare to the Eaton G80?
I'm looking for more traction for the least bucks. I won't be driving it hard but I do want max traction in mud and snow.
My vehicle is a 2004 Astro AWD.

Thanks,
John

We installed one in astrozam's 95 RWD. He lives in Ontario and drove it in the snow quite a bit. I don't know of anyone else who has installed one. They are definitely a nice upgrade for the money. No gear setup required and they install in a couple hours taking your time. There is a write-up in the tech section from the home page.
