Need shift kit installed!

Post by ironhead79 »

Looking for someone that can install a transgo hd2 into my 2000 Astro. I'm in Ohio about 80mi. E of Columbus. Under normal circumstances I would do this myself, but I recently broke my lower back. Laying down on the ground is out of the question. Talked to a trans shop in my town and they quoted me $450.00 if I supply the kit! Lmk contact Paul @ 740-57five-1six15. Thx..

Call your LAPS and ask for the numbers of guys with home shops. I ran deliveries for Advance and was often delivering to guys with lifts in their garages.

I'll check it out on the way home from the Dr. $450 sounds a little much, idk.

Depends on how much of the kit is installed too. To do everything the trans has to be dropped, at which point $450 doesn't sound bad. If only the valve body pieces are being installed, it does sound a bit steep, as dropping the valve body isn't that hard.

Well did some checking over the last few days with some of the local mechanics, and seems like they just don't really want to be bothered by a shift kit! Idk . So I'm open for suggestions. I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance . If anybody with experience with transgo hd2 is interested, lmk. Thx..
