I know how it goes with those armrests... People think those things were built to hold them up. I have a rule now that if anyone gets out, they fold them up. Otherwise, the people in the back seat lean on them to get up front... Luckily, they haven't broken any, but I do have one that was messed up before I got it.

Anyway, good luck fixing yours.

My driver seat armrest also broke after I sat on it.Wouldn't support my elbow.I was able to exchange the driver armrest for the RH armrest on the second row bench seat. But will still need to find a way to fix the broken armrest.I took a picture of the part that is broken to show others what it looks like and perhaps maybe they might have suggestions of a fix.It is a plastic curved channel that a metal stud on the seat fits in and stops movement at top and bottom.

It's funny you should revive my old topic. I finally decided to fix it just the other day. I used my soldering iron to "weld" the plastic pieces back together. The melting point was around 300 degC… much higher than polyethylene.. more like P.E.T. and I think it's reinforced with fiberglass. Don't get the fumes in your eye though, it hurts like a SOB. I carved slivers off unimportant parts to use as "filler". It 'aint pretty but so far it works.

That looks like a very good fix.Nice job(and who thought an arm rest could be so important!).I have a soldering iron so I might have to give this a go.

I used a glue gun and filled in the area where the plastic had broken. So far so good.

I used epoxy and a grommet that I cut in half for extra support. I will report back with results of this experiment

My latest arm rest fix failed too. So, I decided: to hell with it, I'll kill it with screws!

Do ya think it will hold?
