I have a problem. The housing for the blower looks to be heat-fatigued. It is all cracked and brittle. I can barely touch it without more pieces breaking off. The part of the housing that covers the AC condenser (?) is also in the same condition. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you resolve it?
If I have to replace to part I don't even know how to identify it by name. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Evaporator Case is the part you are looking for, you didn't mention a year, but check GM 52478146, might be what you are looking for.

Re: Blower housing cracked and brittle
The vehicle is a 2005 GMC Safari.
Is the part you mentioned still the correct one? Also, there are several parts shown on the break-out diagram. I am assuming the most external part is the one I want e.g., INSULATOR,BLO(INLET)(ACDelco #15-80799) on this breakout diagram: http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssembly ... ct=3073894.
Is this correct?
Thanks for all your help!

#23 is the case in that diagram which matches the part number I gave you.
#20says INSULATOR in the description, not a case.
#003 is the other half of the case.
