I am sure this has been discussed a thousand times before.

The difficult answer is search it out.

The simple answer is FelPro, call your local auto parts store for the part number and price.

I re-used the bolts on one engine, and I used brand new all SS bolts on another. Years later, I noticed no diff, except the shine factor.
I have a set of felpro inigaskets hanging in my shop. They are the ones specially designed for the vin w cpi manifold (92-95).
I dont have a number on them, but you can tell they are for the vin W because the holes where the fuel/air travels thru have what they call eyebrows.
I think they look more like a tombstone shape, cuz the top is rounded, but either way, the hole isnt simply rectangular like all the other 4.3 inimani gaskets.
Unlike the earlier vin Z manigaskets, all 4 water passages are open, none are blocked, so dont use these under a vin z manifold or you wont get good heater anymore.
Thats why, No matter what year of heads you have installed, always buy mani gaskets to fit the year/style of intake manifold you intend to use.

I have these gaskets cuz I bought for a 95 vinW engine, but forgot , I intended to install an 87 vin Z mani. Now I have leftovers> Oh well, I can use them when I put my edelbrock 2111 on.

And ya, just ask your parts store for gaskets to fit the correct year of van (or mani, if you mixnmatched it), and thats what you should get. Thats all I did.
Sometime we can over-complicate stuff by just over analyzing it. Just keep it simple Gary.....

Fel Pro offers a "problem solver" gasket set for V8's.It is alittle better than the other ones.I called them today to find one isn't offered for the 4.3,but it is a composite gasket that is better than the OEM.Part numbers are:

Intake:MS95832

Top gasket:MS95818

Again this is for a "W" 1994 CPI.

I got the van back from a intake gasket("W") and it was still leaking. ](*,) So we got together today to put up on a lift to see where it was leaking from.Well really we pulled the dog house off first and the back of the manifold was dry.Thank god.I thought the manifold was warped and had to come back off. =D> So once on the lift we found a soft plug leaking driver's side towards the exhaust manifold.I had bought a bunch of them just in case I needed them and wanted a supply of them in a parts bin for the shop anyways.I took abit to get it out and then we replaced it coating the edges with red lock-tight.Seems to be holding now,so I will run for afew days to make sure we have it fixed.

So was that the prob all along, and changing the in-mani gaskets was moot?
