We used a high pressure air hose to blow out the bit of water that got in the middle part. Only a tiny bit got in the oil, and most people say that small traces of water will evaporate when it's heated up. Most of the water that leaked went into the cylinders and came out the exhaust, so as far as water in the oil, I think I'm good!

Check your oil now & look for any grey or white milky-ness.
Change your oil if there is any doubt.
Should be good to go otherwise eh?

have a great time with your baby, absence makes the heart grow fonder eh?

Definitely! When I drove it to school yesterday, I was practically glowing!

I mistook a mark on the distributer for the timing mark, but I saw the actual timing mark and adjusted it. I need to replace that cap and rotor, but can't afford it yet, so it's running rough now. Hopefully that's all it is, anyway.

Sputtering, sometimes it dies when I shift into gear. Also, under acceleration, I can hear a rattling noise, but I can't place it. It seems to miss more often when it's revved in neutral, but when I accelerate pretty fast it seems to run ok.

maybe a vacuum leak somewhere? or a bad EGR, or maybe even the fuel pump...
NOt sure about the rattling either, is it like the valve rockers ticking cuz their set wrong, or like a loose bolt vibrating against somethin??
Hey, you just did your intake manifold. Does your 92 VIN Z have a balance shaft in there? Just curious?

I'm honestly not sure if it has the balance shaft. :-k

Does the rattling sound, during acceleration, sound kind of like marbles being dropped in a coffee can? Is the rattling worse when it gets warmed up? Just a guess, but if the timing is off by just a few degrees(advanced timing), then you would have what they call detonation(pistons firing prematurely). This causes what is called "pinging" while accelerating. This would explain the roughness also. Since you have done some work with the distributor, this might be something to recheck. A timing light would help diagnose this.
