Is this a GM Problem?

Post by markmitchinnh »

I have owned many astro/safari models and 3 S-10's and all of them have have had a non functional engine temperature gauges. I would like to have both the one in my Safari and the one in my S-10 4x4 working so if anyone has any idea as to what the problem may be please let me know. Thank You, Mark

Mark,I have owned two S10's and own three Astro's.None of them has issues with the temp gauge.I suggest in any case you would need to treat each one-one for one.

Temp gauge sender is usually mounted in the drivers side head. Typically has a single green wire going to it. Grounding it should get some response from the needle of the gauge.
