Is that chocolate milkshake looking ? I can`t tell from the picture, if so you have oil mixing with your coolant.

Re: What going on in my Radiator?
I'll bet you have more problems than just a plugged rad. What does your oil look like?

1, Have you ever put stop leak in your rad?
2, What does the coolant in the overflow bottle look like ( does it resemble snot ?)
3, What made you initiallly decide to replace the rad ?

SoCalli V8....no . more like bad milk / whip cream.
What does your oil look like? clean. It was last started like 2 months ago! for 30 mins and it did not look like that!
1, Have you ever put stop leak in your rad? no
2, What does the coolant in the overflow bottle look like ( does it resemble snot ?). not snot. i dumped it and saw anti freeze (GREEN) with what looked like reef rocks. but once touched it felt like whip cream
3, What made you initiallly decide to replace the rad ? i opened it up and saw that.
The van has done alot of sitting (3 years) since i have had it!
i'm going to take it to a Rad. shop tomorrow. i think i'm screwed

Re: What going on in my Radiator?
If your oil is clean then that's a very good sign. If the rad is not leaking, then get the rad shop to flush it out so it is clean. Put a coolant flushing connector on a heater hose and flush the system out well.
Who knows you might get lucky and have no further problems.

No, It's more like this. WHAT?
Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.
What the h**l, I can't even post a 56k pic. Is this site dying or what. I mean attaching a 56k pic can't be done. I continue to receive the error:

Cmon guys fix it...

Re: What going on in my Radiator?
Just a quick note on the pic attachments, there isn't anything to fix, we have increased "the board attachment quota" several times in order to help out those who didn't have someplace to host their pics, but posting pics on this site thru the attachment venue is not the option we want to go with for the majority of the pics uploaded. It is better for members to use one of the several FREE photo-hosting sites and link to their pics using these services.
And no, we are not dying! but thanks for askin. lol

Re: What going on in my Radiator?
O.K., I'll bite. We have got 2 pics in this thread, right? I have just tried to post a picture of a proper flush kit (size is 56k). Why can't I post it? Re: What going on in my Radiator?
I'm guessing, but I would imagine that the issue is not how many pics you try to put up using the ASV.com server space, but how many total among all the users. Get a photobucket account or a google photo account. They are free, give you a decent amount of space to host your pics online, and don't cost the board additional money constantly having to increase the amount of storage space where ever this is hosted only to fit pictures. FWIW, I didn't even know we provided space for pics. Every other site I am on requires you host your pictures elsewhere.

Here are two videos that show how to install a rad flush kit and flush your cooling system.
