Cat heat shield

Post by Cobra »

middle of this week i got a rattling sound comming from under the van assumed the cat was going so i picked a universal one up. went to do the work and i see the heat sheild hanging down and sitting on the cross member that's what was making the sound is it ok to run the cat without the lower heat shield only thing i see that would be even remotely affected would be the torsen? bar no wires or pipes are near it (for obviouse reasons). just wanna make sure i can rip it off and not worry of get someone to spot weld it back on

Rip it off. The heat shield that is! :muhaha: As long as there are no wires or hoses near it, you will be ok.
