I have a set of Ram horn manifolds from an old vette and was wondering if anybody is running them in a V8 conversion 2wd? I think the center outlets might interfere with the x-member or motor mounts. I might have access to a set of 97 Vortec manifolds and the Y pipe and I figure this might work better, any thoughts?

This will be going on a carb'ed 1981 350 into my 85 Cargo with eBay motor mounts real soon I hope.

Bogu, I think you'll find that the crossmember is squarely in the way of the outlets of the ram's horn exhaust manifold. Even if that could be worked around, the engine mounts certainly will cause grief.
That's the way I remember the clearances, anyway.

That's what I figured, I guess I'll go and grab those Vortec manifolds and 3" Y pipe. I should be able to make those work.

Those "Ram Horns" are going to look awful nice in my Jeep once I do the 350/700r4 conversion to it.

Thanks Rob :supz:

Did ya know you can find a V6 Version of the V8 Ram Horn Manifolds?
I've only ever seen one set, on my boat, and they are close to the ram horn as you can get with a v6 configuration.
