Rear Differential for a 94 Astro with disc brakes

Post by AquaAngel »

I am soon going to take my bad girl apart for a V8 swap next month and in the process of doing so, i will lift that bad girl at an extra 2" lift.

now my question is, is there differential that could fit in my astro van without changing my rim "same bolt pattern" like a Jimmy? Camaro? Mustang? that could fit my bad girl without doing to many modifications.

My van already have a Steel leafs springs.

Thanks
ANgel

I'm not sure about the diff, but other vehicles with the same BCD are here: viewtopic.php?f=68&t=44

From what I've heard, the Astro axle width+offset is pretty unique.

There is nothing that is an easy upgrade. Anything with strength will require some fab work. If you are just looking for better brakes, do the 11" drum brake upgrade. There are threads on that swap. Going to discs from drums does not net much better braking than properly adjusted drums. You can fit heavier duty calipers up front as well.
