Solid Axle Swap ?

ok what will i all need for this swap ... i have looked at all the post ... really no postings on the steel i need ... how long ... how much ... i have the axles all ready out of an 86 wide track waggie ... how dose the stearing all going to work ... springs i have a set of 4 inch lift cj 7 springs will those work for me ... ??? any help would be great thanks .. how about the sway bar... will that still work... got some pics ... thanks

You are not gonna get a complete list of materials! I did not write down any of the measurements. I used a different front axle, different springs and cut the steel as I needed it. The CJ7 springs may be too light. I used YJ springs and combined 2 sets per side and it flexed great but they were too soft. For steering I used Parts Mike high steer setup. The best resource for a SAS is without a doubt, Pirate 4x4. Get on there and do a LOT of reading!

well guys its time for me to start my own swap ... new axles tho i have a 44-14 out of an old chevy .... going to be useing a 205 tcase twin sticked ... will take pics as i go a long .... wish me luck ....
