Thermostat/radiator cap

Post by Quihyp »

Just got back from pep-boys and they sent me home with a 95-195 stant thermostat, 16lb stant radiator cap. Upon looking at my van/these forums I'm wondering if I got the right stuff brand/spec-wise (the van dash thermo goes to 220?). I don't have the manual for my van (1999 cargo astro) and would like to know if I got the right stuff before I go and install it.

Yup, you got the right parts. The engines are designed to run right at 195. Make sure you have coolant available when you change the thermostat. If the coolant is old, you might as well flush it out.
