Motor mounts maybe an issue?

Post by marco10 »

Recently I have been feeling and hearing some vibration in the van when accelerating from a stop. Could this be motor mounts? Transmission mount? How much would motor mount replacement cost at a shop?

Very likely from bad mounts.

My van is also suffering a similar issue, doing weird gentle clunking from a dead stop. I suspect motor and trans are jumping around. Under hard acceleration, I can feel vibrations. With over 200K... my mounts are shot. My trans mount is completely bad/separated.

For whatever reason, I notice it more taking off on straightaways, than taking off in turns.

I thinks mounts are probably good for about 100K

When I've replaced mounts in the past, it's always made the vehicle feel smooth like new!
