If I get a response from the owner I'm going to have to go up there and check it out.

Things just got real! Ha ha....

But in all reality, the Astro AWD would probably be a better fit and a no hassle purchase vs importing a 25 yr old Japan market car. But I do love the idea of a little diesel 4x4 van that can be configured like a transformer.

Any more on this?
Nothing to report on that Delica, I never got a response from the owner. I am seeing some '90 and earlier Delica's for sale in the Vancouver area that can be imported into the US but they are priced way too high for me at the moment.

just my 2 cents.
Stay away from those Delica's.
Parts are very hard to get (sometimes almost impossible) and expensive !!
the Van itself is guttless, and driving from the wrong side just sucks in traffic.
Plus, Delica's are pretty unstable compared to a lifted Astro smaller wheelbase n all.
Just my opinion, but My opinion is - run away from any Delica type van.
And, you will be happy with a nice easy astro.

2016 Yamaha XSR900 - Silver.
1990 Astro - AWD - Brown.
