When You Answer the Phone, You Never Know...

Post by mdmead »

...who's on the other end of the line.

So yesterday, around 12:30 pm, my cell phone rang. None other than Skip Pringle (Smiliesafari) was on the other end. He says "I'm at the McDonald's in your town".

So I gave him directions on how to get to my place and about 10 minutes later he arrived! Skip was on his way to his Mom's in Sequim, so he only had a couple of hours to spare.

It was great meeting him and we had a great visit, talking vans and a myriad of other things.

Looking forward to seeing him again in the future.

Here's Skip and his very sano van!

(And thanks for the S-10 grill Skip! I'll post some pics of it down the road.)

I tried to get to Matt's last year and for reasons I don't remember it didn't happen. So, this year he got put on the priority list. Also, he posted a picture of a Chevy grille that was turned into a piece of garage art. I had a Chevy S-10 grille that was just taking up space so I told him that I would bring it to him. It was good to finally meet him face to face. If I lived closer Matt and I would be "hanging out friends". We've been ASV friends for several years. The next time I get up that way I'll be sure to stop by. I'll expect to see some progress on the Safari. LOL.

Yup...the "infamous" van is in that new garage. It sure has potential.

Ah....good ole' Sequim. I spent my high school years in Port Angeles but moved out prior to the famous bypass being put in.
What do you think of my quest to swap transfer cases to the venerable BW4472?
