RS progress & new purchase

Post by reaper »

I thought I'd fill you in on a couple of new things on the go.

Three weeks ago Rocke aka Bikehauler gives me a call asking me
If by chance I would be interested in purchasing his van.So im thinkin' to
myself "crap",just 3 days earlier I had made a significant purchase
& would not be able to come up with the finances so quickly. So I actually
turned it down,Rocke was Mr G smooth & says:"hey dude,no problem...
Im not in a rush to sell it & I'd rather see it go to you,so I dont mind holding
it for you".After a short gab session The phonecall comes to a close &
I start thinking,doing some math & I figure,I can wing it....

Within 10 minutes I call Rocke back & say "I'll take it".Ofcoarse he's gigglin'
& says"That was fast",& I reply"yeah,& so's my van"...We arrange for Saturday
afternoon pick up,Saturday rolls around the deal was done.So I take it home & start going thru it & do a quick prom read,etc....There's that story.

Now onto the RS project.
The engine/trans have been pulled & the van sat covered thru the winter,as
Steph was planning on doing a vortec V-6 build & resto. Now that I have the new cargo
I offered the drivetrain & goodies from my old 8 van to Steph for her RS,to save
time & make it a little more fun.So she's all for it,& we are in prep to take out the
drivetrain from the old 8 & drop it into the RS.

The fun begins now :partyman:

Good luck Sanja , & congrats on the new van !!!!!

don't forget the PICS !!!!! :D :D
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

Well Reaper I don't know what to say. I look into the driveway and there is something missing. As we have discussed I couldn't be happier that you are the owner of my old van. I loved that thing for 13 years and it was time to see it go. I'm excited to see you take it to the next level with some more custom touches and add your own personal style.
For those of you who don't know, my wife and I had a baby girl last May and the 2 seat cargo van just didn't fit in the mix anymore. We sold my wife's 1991 maxima and the 1990 cargo van. I have now bought a Honda Ridgeline for the dirt bikes and trailer towing, and my wife will be driving the 2003 accord. I will really miss the feel of the V8!

I will miss the people on this board but I will check back in from time to time to see what is going on.
Sorry for HiJacking your thread Sanja.
P.S. where are the pictures of the van with the new changes you have made???
