Hello from northern Colorado

Post by Sean1970 »

Hiya-

So, I have been lurking a couple of weeks now. While I kicked around buying a van. An Astro/Safari made the most sense because I cannot leave well enough alone and a g van is just too big. So, V8 and loud exhaust are in order.

So, I bought a 95 cargo Astro. 2 wheel drive.
It steers a little sloppy (my guess is not properly aligned since it was lowered)
It shifts hard
It runs a little rough
And the a/c doesn't work

The price was right and, well, as you can see it appeals to my inner 17 y/o

But.. buying the damn thing has kind of inspired me to start a business, so the paint will likely be gone in a couple of months.

Sean

Nice......hard shifting is normal with these vans. Loose steering is probably worn idler arms. There's two. One on each end of the drag link. Change both...you'll notice a big difference.
