I picked up a 1995 Astro thats a Tiger XL camper with 148,000 miles. I have been reading a lot of info here so I thought I'd make an account. Ironically my camper would not start today in my driveway. When I bought it I replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator, belt, dex-cool, front pads, rotors, transfer case fluid and tires. I have drove it about 1,200 miles and it ran great until today.

Today I took the dog house off for the first time. Replaced the cap and rotor which one cap had a lot of corrosion. Still would not start. The coil cap also had corrosion. I removed one spark plug and it was very worn and smelled of gas. Tomorrow I'm replacing all the spark plugs and wires and I hope it starts. I just ordered a AcDelco Ignition Coil, Ignition Control Module and Electric Fuel Pump Kit. I hope I don't have to install the fuel pump. I read to check the fuel pressure which will tell me if the pump is bad. I plan on doing that if the coil dose not fix it. Either way I wanted a spare fuel pump since its a RV and I could break down far from home.

I appreciate all the write ups and information on these forums :toimonster:

Welcome! Love those Tigers, we will all be excited to see pictures when you have a chance.

As to the fuel pump ( I learned this the hard way) every mile after 100,000 is borrowed time. It is an annoying job and would be compounded many times by being out on the side of the road.

Hope you figure out the no start quickly,

Ryan
