Van of the month - nominations wanted

Post by justice »

I think I would like to do a "Van of the Month" feature for the front page of the site (which is going to get a redesign in the near future).

I would like some nominations for vans to be featured. If I don't get any, i'll start with my beatup old 87 shorty, and we don't want that. #-o

The VOM feature will not be just for customized vans but daily drivers as well, lets have a good mix.

Just an FYI, If your van is picked to be featured, I will need a good set of high res pictures and you will need to do the write up. I will edit as needed and post the article on the front page. When a new VOM is posted the previous VOM will be moved to the archives.

I'm looking to start this with the first VOM on March 1.

Ready, set GO!
I have a ban hammer and I ain't fraid to use it!

Well, I'm not sure how you could start this without Dean's or Petey's van being first. While there are a lot of nice and impressive vans out there, these two are probably the best known by everyone involved here. (Well, maybe Darren's and Rebel's too, but I think the first one ought to be a "finished" van!)

As much as it pains me, I'd have to give the nod to Petey.... If for no other reason than the buckets and buckets of cash (even if it was Candian dollars) he has thrown at it. :muhaha:

I will also give the nod to Petey. As for being "finished" the SPB will never truly be finished. It is just waiting on cash for the next step! :muhaha:

I nominate the SPB, no doubt! While I'm proud of my van, Dean's truck has a bunch of hard-core off-road items which make it unique as an Astro/Safari. And adding the Tramper to the list as part of ZZ isn't fair. It is, after all, "Van of the month", not creation of the month.
I'll be more'n glad to take the March spot, if it is the will of the people :muhaha: :muhaha:

This sounds like a cool idea,I'll refrain from nominating anyone ,cause I know sooner or later they all get a chance.

Lookin forward to seein some nice vans..

Zam,

You have done some nice mods to your van plus it is a Daily driver. I think your van is very worth of VOM. Vote for the "Blueberry"

I vote SPB first. ZZ second Tramper is a peice of art that deserves it's own VOM after ZZ. Then I'd say Skippy's V8. Then Rebels Van I'm sorry finished or not that rear end DEFINATELY deserves VOM. Then Zams if not for a beutiful van then for a nod for all he does for us.

Gawd yes! Trybe's van is awesome. Larry's truck is a marvel too, I imagine it won't be long now before he's finished with it. And alot of newbies have come on board with pretty wicked vans as well...
Then there's Darren. I'm sure he can be in there too, as soon as he scrapes up enuf money to convert his rolling advertising for primer into an actual painted vehicle :axe: :axe: :butthead:

Why not just pick the VOM at random? Everyone will eventually get their just dues and no one will get their feathers ruffled. :-k
