ok, after much cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script, cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script,cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script,cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script,cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script,cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script,cursing, uploading, deleting, editing script, uploading, testing, testing again and again...i think its done.

I finally managed to piece together a working version of GTChat thats actualy in english. The older version did not have the eng lang packs, the newest version had scripting errors making it nearly impossible to configure without extreme deep editing. SO we ended up with the middle version (95) which still required script editing in the settings files to get everything pointed in the right direction.

If you like this one better than the current chat, i'll replace the link on the main page and do some more grapics tweaking on it.

I have recieved my activation code
i'm in the lobby room of the chat
it shows i'm in there
I can type a message
BUT,when I hit enter OR submit nothing posts

after writing this I went back to chat and this was the message...

"<www.astrosafarivans.com>

You were logged out because your system did not respond any more. This indicates a broken connection."

I then logged in with my name and password and still nothing,then when I tried loggin in AND checked the "safe mode " box everythinng worked as it should

yeah, thats one thing that bugs me about GTChat, it seems to only work in safe mode.

log out, and check the "safe mode" box on the login screen and log in again. It should work fine then.

After doing some tests of the features there are a few things to remember
**important**
When registering if you want your pm's to show up on the screen (like your used to) make sure to UNCHECK the box that asks about it,otherwise each pm you send will open up in a new window.if you forget you can adjust this setting in your profile,

1, make sure to check the safe mode box
2, make sure to check the remember my login details box,this will allow you to move from the LOBBY to a room and then back again to the LOBBY
and still be able to post your messages, without having to re-sign in.
3,if you don't like the background colour you can change it in your profile.

Remember,to go to your email account and grab the activation code,you only need to enter this the 1st time in the box where you normally put your password (do not click the remember my login details the 1st time)
just enter the chat and then logout then login as usual check the safe mode box and the remember login details box,easy peasy

Ok I am in there and chatting awy. I LOVE this chat. I say put it in as the link on the homepage and get rid of that other chat.

I just found out another neat feature of this chat. If someone sends you a Private message after you have already signed off you will get the message(s) the next time you log on to chat. Pretty neat if I do say so myself.
