Important announcement regarding move to new server

Post by astrozam »

Well folks ,its back and its better and faster than ever,Justice has finished moving the Forum over to the new server, the speed is exactly where we were hoping it would be FAST.

Also, the TECH GALLERY is now on-line,we now have approx half of our projects moved over and will finish off moving the rest over in the coming weeks.
You'll see a few changes for the better as we are using a new photo gallery called Coppermine to host our Tech Gallery, its easier to upload pics to and it looks nicer as well.We will add a category for Members rides to this which will make it a one stop shop for all tech and ride pics.
Another bonus with Coppermine is that members can register to use it on their own which is going to make things smoother and easier on all.

So check it out and let us know what you think of the changes, your input is always appreciated, thanks.

Dow and Zam,
Wow on the speed. It's fast even with my dial-up and this old puter.I really like the first page with the three vans.Very nice!!!!!.

I need to straighten out my password with you. From the three van page it won't accept my password even thro it brings up the password once I type in my user name during trying to log on.Plse email how I can fix that.I did read something about a code and will try that as well.

Great job on this,

Looooking GOOOOOOd !!!!!
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

Zam,
The only way to log on is if after my password is not accepted,I check my messages and it takes me to some sort of blue back round page where I am signed in.

:-k its interesting that you say that, another member from A.S was having trouble getting on this site,i gave him a temp password and it still did not work,i have noticed that it is better to click the "log in to check new messages" because it will automatically log you in and bring you to the forum home pg than by just clicking the log in button. All i can offer for now is to click the "login to check messages button" 1st

Anyone else havin any log on issues??

I just wanna say that this site now officially rocks :supz: It seems to have no bugs in it since the addy change, I'm running IE without issues, posts are easily editted etc...

Kudos to Justice & Astrozam for doing a great job with the transition. =D> =D>

Well,I appreciate the kudo's but to be honest,Dow is the one to deserve all the credit for the board upgrade and moves, once its moved then I do my thing :drinkers: but until then all credit goes to Tex,lol

But needless to say we're happy that everyone seems to be enjoying the new upgrades :supz:

Well, that may be so, but.......
I really have an issue with anyone who has a name like "Dow". Reminds me of the beer nobody drank here in Quebec back in the 60's & 70's. And "Tex"? Jeez, like gimme a break. I envision someone in a big ole Texan cowboy hat, runnin' around in a dusty pickup & shootin' off his sixguns....

However, I do wanna be fair. So, after much ponderation(ification), I've decided to allow "DOW" & "TEX" an opportunity to change their names. Don't matter if them there names are legal names or just handles, I'm willing to accomodate 'em just the same. Just don't let it be said that ole Petey ain't willin' to bend over backwards to accomodate(ificate) his fellow site members.
Yeah, I know. Whadda guy :supz:

Peter, is it the winter weather causing this or is Firecakes just naturally being cold? :D
