New board features
A coulpe of new board features that had been asked about in the past are now available.
There is a birthday feature (so go in your profiles and put your birthday in there so we can watch you get old...)
There is now an online/offline feature (visible when reading the forums)
The is an attachment feature in the posts now as well.
Under the NEW TOPIC and POST REPLY buttons there is a few items of interest.
Subscribe topic | Bookmark Topic| Print view
Subscribe topic - self explanatory - notifies your when the topic is updated - you have to visit the subscribed thread for it to update you again.
Bookmark Topic - adds the topic to your local bookmarks which are accessible through the "User Control Panel" link at the top right of the forum. This is great for a topic you reference frequently
Print view - brings up the topic thread in "draft mode" for easy printing - should be very useful.
There are some new admin features such as the ability to give someone a temporary ban or even just a warning. The ban have automatic time limits on them except for the permaban, i don't think this feature will see a lot of use.
I'll mention other new features when I find them..lol

Re: New board features
I just found the change font size ,looks like a capital A with a down and up chevron each side of it on the Board index line right hand side, very handy, also I switched to the prosilver board skin, gives things a little different look and switches the avatar and online info to the right hand colomn

Re: New board features
lol...i don't like the look of proSilver, so i'm sticking with subSilver... I'm searching for other new themes right now, especially a black one since I know we had some people who liked that one.

Re: New board features
You know what is fstrange is that the font size change with the capital A is only on the prosilver board skin, not the sub silver, hummm I wonder why????????astrozam wrote:I just found the change font size ,looks like a capital A with a down and up chevron each side of it on the Board index line right hand side, very handy, also I switched to the prosilver board skin, gives things a little different look and switches the avatar and online info to the right hand colomn

Re: New board features
i just added 5 new styles this last weekend, Black Pearl, and 4 different color versions of Acidtech. You can access then through your profile.
I also noticed the other day that we (Zam and I) can set default styles for different forums...not that we will do that cause I like everything looking the same..

Re: New board features
hi Dow, big thank you and pat on the back for doing all this! PS I like the ACIDTech as well but I switch and back forth to see the differences. Hopefully in the next released for the ACIDTech they will have images that can be clicked on to show full-size by "extending" rather than have the scroll bar.

Not sure if that feature is available or not,but Dow will be able to let you know.
However, if you'd like a work around that does the job of substituting for a note taker, try this
User Control Panel
Private messages
In the "Subject heading" type NOTES or whatever else is appropriate
Add your note or link or whatever you'd like to the "Message body"
When done, click "Save"
Now when you want to add to that note, click
User Control panel
Private messages
Manage PM drafts
A box will pop up showing your saved drafts (notes)
Click edit/view if you accidently click load just hit your browser's BACK button
Your draft (note) will appear and you can add to it or whatever.
Click "submit" to save your edits,if you accidently click "reset" you will lose the edits made to the original draft.
A safe idea would be to just select all and copy your note when your done then hit submit,LOL
You can do this for as many different drafts (notes ) as you'd like. It may seem a little confusing at 1st ,but its really pretty simple.
