Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

I've had issues with the modded spark plug anti-foulers rusting and breaking. I've found some stainless steel ones on eBay. Haven't bought yet because somehow Green is not setting codes without one despite having a hollowed out cat.

Guilty, however others have me beat in the number of Astros in possession at one time. My max has been three.

Re: New from NY thinking abouy the Astro for 4wd

Astros when properly maintained are pretty dang reliable. I've taken my AWD wheeling with the Jeeps with the stock single speed transfer case, thing did pretty good. After I swapped in a bone yard limited slip equipped rear axle ($130), I was able to have it walk up stuff my open diff Jeep friends w...

Re: Astro van and their owner's retirements..kinda quiet

I was prepping my 99, for sale in preparation for purchasing my next Astro, but my daughter's boyfriend ended up needing to replace his car in a hurry. He'll be making payments to me for 5 months on the 99 Blazer I was driving.

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Yeah, I still really, really like Green. It runs great, gets good gas mileage, every common Astro issue has been addressed. I'm looking to the future. In the spirit of adventure, my wife and I may eventually live full time out of my next Astro. We seem to be happiest when we're exploring our world w...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Decided to sell Green. I currently have 2 Astros, a Blazer, a Corolla, a Kawasaki KE100 and my wife has her Liberty. Time to thin the herd a bit, in preparation for purchasing my next Astro.

Re: Rear Spring Lift Question.

I've daydreamed of a long travel IFS Astro. Spent too much time laying under a Raptor at the Ford dealership seeing the differences to the F150.

Now I just need time, space, skill, money and a van with a body still worth making those mods to.

Re: Rear Spring Lift Question.

http://journeysoffroad.com/ makes front spring hangers for the Astro/Safari. I've seen some custom ones too.

Several bigger and welded in sub-frame spacers have also been done.

Re: Help! - Need a van in Reno, NV inspected before purchase

Appears to have been sold before I was able to find a solution.

My wife and I are supposed to road trip through the PNW in September, maybe I'll be able to find something on the trip.
