Re: 1999 Safari Sliding Door Weatherstrip PN?

This is what Rockauto offers: http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php ... 12&jsn=249
Which just seems to be a universal fit product, at half the price.

1999 Safari Sliding Door Weatherstrip PN?

I haven't had any luck finding the sliding door weatherstrip replacement for a 1999. Does anyone know the part number? Has anyone had any luck with the "universal fit" weatherstripping for the sliding door? This product: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/shi-933-110/overview/ sounds good ...

Wait are you saying that once you connected F7 on the TCCM to the VCM (thing in board of battery underhood) that 4lo started working??

Bal joint/control arm install 99 AWD

I am replacing my upper control arms complete with bushings and ball joints. When reattaching the ball joint to the steering knuckle (spindle?) how do I know when the ball joint bolt is all the way in? I've threaded on the castle nut a bit and I can access the cotter pin hole but it seems like I cou...

Re: Stuck rear hatch

Hi I know this is an old topic but I believe I'm having a similar problem. When I turn the rear hatch button with the key the doors unlock no problem but when I push in the button to open the hatch nothing happens - no solenoid clicking or anything. From reading this post it seems like the most like...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.

Congrats! Good luck with 4lo. I've tried rolling mine while attempting the shift and no luck. That was with transmission in neutral (or drive, or park), engine on, 2-3 mph. Not even a sound from the tccm or encoder motor. I put in for a replacement encoder motor as long as I'm still under warranty s...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.

Good luck with the new encoder motor. I don't know if those are really that prone to failure...from reading through the S10/Blazer forums the main issue with the NP 236 seems to be with the vacuum actuator for engaging the front axle, and obviously that's not a thing for Astros (unless you go that r...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.

I had a similar problem and ended up swapping out the encoder motor. To swap in the new, JY one I had to shift the transfer case to neutral manually - this allowed the positions on the tcase and motor to match up. That new motor didn't really work out well and ended up giving me some codes to hunt d...

Driver and passenger windows go up very slowly, if at all

The driver and passenger windows both go down fine but usually when trying to shut the window it starts going up very slowly and then stops after a second or two. Waiting 15-45 seconds allows for another try at shutting the window, usually resulting in the same second or two of movement and then sto...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.

Hm, can you translate what this PCM/VCM connection is all about? Should there be a wire going from the TCCM to somewhere other than the encoder motor/switch?

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.

Not sure if PMs are working so posting this on the thread. I'm getting ready to try to start the NP236 conversion soon (next few months) and have been looking closer at the tutorial. I understand that in this example original 32 pin TCCM connector from the NP136 on the van was used and all of the wi...

Re: np136 vs np236

So I assume I should replace the output and input shaft seals of the 236 from the Blazer prior to installing in the Astro. I found this kit: http://www.americanpowertrainwarehouse.com/np236-np136-nv246d-transfer-case-overhaul-kit-gasket-seals-o-rings/ Will I need any special tools or materials for r...
