Re: blower speeds

old thread but i'll try resurrecting it. Crash, did you figure out what was going on? Were you just unlucky and got a bad replacement resistor or what? I've got a 93 with 5 positions: Off, Lo, 2, 3, Hi My fan works on 3 and Hi, nothing on Lo or 2. I pulled the blower motor out and plugged a volt-met...

Re: Alternate way to open rear dutch door?

Sorry about the pics. Thanks for editing.

Not sure what the speakers are off the top of my head, whatever seemed like a good deal at the time. Mid-level quality.

Re: Alternate way to open rear dutch door?

Did it today. Took all of 30 minutes. Now that i've been through it, i could do it again in 10 probably. Anwyay, just picked up a very small SPST temporary plunger switch at radio shack for like 3 bucks. 0. Verify that operating the key in your rear door pops the hatch. If not, this mod probably won...

Re: Alternate way to open rear dutch door?

Got a good answer on the other board: http://www.astrosafari.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14045 Here's what I did. There is a hot wire that is accessible in the lower passenger side door hooked to the "unlock" key switch . I removed the black license plate recess trim and drilled a finger sized hole in ...

Re: Alternate way to open rear dutch door?

The key is normally in the ignition or dash. I want to add a button on the back that anybody can operate without having to have the key or go up to the front. Basically like anything else on the planet with a hatchback. Cars on which the trunk can only be opened from inside the car are also a horrib...

Alternate way to open rear dutch door?

Every time i need to get into the back of my van, and i'm not already sitting in the driver's seat, my urge to kill rises when i have to walk all the way around to the front, reach in to the dash and hit the door release button. Seriously GM, WTF? No way to open the rear door when you're standing ba...

Re: Home Brew Lift Kit 95 AWD

great thread! Can you post dimensions from hub-centers to wheel arch? That way your lift can be compared to others' without tire size being a factor.

Re: Another Overland Vans Lift Installed - but need help!

This is a useful thread Herbie, thanks for all the info (and the other contributors as well). Please throw some pictures up here when you have a moment. There are probably newer pictures in other threads, but it would be great to complete this one. Thanks again. I'll probably be jumping on the bandw...

Re: DHC Off Road Skid Plates

Great, thanks for sharing the plans! Any chance there is an updated drawing with the oil change access shown? Much easier and cleaner to have those holes made by the plasma table at the fab shop, than me trying to do it with a torch.
