Motor mounts maybe an issue?
Recently I have been feeling and hearing some vibration in the van when accelerating from a stop. Could this be motor mounts? Transmission mount? How much would motor mount replacement cost at a shop?

Hit Pothole. Now Cylinder 5 misfire code.
On the highway this morning. Hit a pothole and right away engine light starts flashing. The van was idling rough when I stopped. Reader gave a misfire on cylinder 5. I'm thinking loose cable either on the spark plug or at the distributor. Maybe coil? Any other issues it could be? Maybe coil?

P0305 Code after driving for long period
I just had the intake manifold gasket replaced on my 2003 Astro. It was running fine after the repair. A week and a half later I took a 1.5hr drive and engine started shuddering and engine light came on. Pulled over an put the scanner to it and got a P0305 code. Cylinder 5 misfire. It stayed like th...

Rough Idle before warm up and now water pump leak
Recently I have noticed that if I don't warm the van up before driving off, the van would idle rough and make a rattling sound when stopped at a traffic light. However if I warm up the van for about 5 or more mins, it is OK. Just yesterday I noticed a small puddle of coolant. I am pretty sure it is ...

Intermittent starting issues
Sometimes the van will not start. I am thinking ingnition switch problem but how to be sure? Dash lights/chimes come on but when turned to the start position ... nothing. I keep trying and eventually it starts. Sometimes it works in 1 to 2 mins, sometimes it takes 5 to 10 mins of jiggling and slowly...

Squeeking sound when humid or raining
Hello all. On very humid days, or when my Astro is left on a grass field overnight or when it rains, it makes a squeeking noise when it is running and eventually goes away within 1/2 hour after engine warms up. I am guessing it has something to do with moisture in and around the engine. No sound whe...

Fuse for blower motor
Can somone please direct me as to which fuse is for the heater blower? Is it specific or is it shared with another component? Is it under dash or under hood? Heat works but blower stopped working during -40C temperatures. Doesn't work on low, med or high. Would like to start with fuse first before m...

coolant leak
I am having a coolant leak and cannot seem to find/see where it is from. I looked under the engine and all I can see is drips coming down from where the belts are? I'm not sure. It is kind of strange though ... I will drive short distances at normal city speeds and when I stop and turn off the car, ...

Speedometer Jitter affecting transmission
About a few months ago, the ABS light and the hand brake light came on. A few days ago the speedometer started to jitter back and forth while driving. The transmission feels like it gears down once in a while. Can someone please explain this? I'm wondering if the ABS sensor is affecting the speed se...
