I personally hate diesels, they stink, are slow, sound like they will come apart at any time and release more toxins that hurt humans then any other engines out there. Help me understand why you would want one in an Astro/Safari?

I believe I read somewhere that the 4l80 will not fit in the vans due to it having a different shape or size case. and the driveshaft would have to modified as well as the mounting hardware. I suggest you do some measuring and all to see if it will physically bolt in first.

I will have to install a screen to keep leaves and such from going into my air intake and since its winter now this whole idea will have to wait till spring.

My cowl induction scoop is tied to the engine -however the scoop is fiberglass and the hood is steal and it keeps cracking due to the temperature changes so it will be replaced once again in the future. I used the 2 part epoxy I was told to use , it cracked, I grinded it down added rivets then refin...

still looking for interior parts only now we also need interior parts for a 94 EXT with rear ac. I need the glove box assembly the cover for the rear heat, and the covers for the cooler boxes/compartments in the back of the van. color does not matter! Thanks Mark
